About Us

With over 40 years experience, Lowe’s Gas Services is a small, family run business based in the East Midlands. We are Gas Safe Registered and fully insured.

We were formed in 2006 when Mick decided to start his own business with son, Dan, rather than working for a large firm of engineers. Dan, at that point in time, took on the administrative role within the business.

Mick had been working in the Plumbing and Heating industry for xx years previous for many big companies throughout the East Midlands in both the domestic and commercial sector, working on Natural Gas, LPG and Oil. This created a good reputation for himself in the field, along with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Dan qualified with a City & Guilds in computer programming at 15 and left school at 17 to become a Computer Repairs Engineer firstly for a large company in Leicester before leaving and becoming self employed, with a few fairly large contracts and a good customer base. In 2005, he went to Spain for a ‘week’ to help on a project with a good friend, ended up staying out there and working on the project, and returned home 18 months later.

About Us
With his business in IT a distant memory and dad, Mick, having recently started his own business, he took on the role of book keeper, purchaser, organising jobs and bookings. It wasn’t long before he was joining his dad in the van and going to jobs and learning the trade while still carrying on with the ‘behind the scenes’ work.

In 2013, he took himself to college to gain his passport to Gas, did a 12 month portfolio based course and sat his Gas exams.

Now Gas Safe Registered, Dan is now a Gas Engineer in the field, as well as maintaining the admin side of the business too.
